For the people without tier 1 fams and lethals, is the dual discharge viable in raid/tower?

If it works just like it did in the event, I would gladly sacrifice 1 or 2 raid spots. I could keep it alive with a bluebot or wasp. Who cares about the junk dmg if your next hitters go nuts on it!

I know the bionic teletubby changes, but does anyone know if the dual is going to work the same? Thoughts please?

Idk hes a pretty weak merc without his damage modifier from the event. Very cheap to make a 8*1 though with all the level 70 1* for just 1-2 res on exchange.

He is a weak stat fam, but is his skill going to work the same on bosses? The dmg modifier has no bearing on the skill itself...right? I think the other theorycrafters see where I am going with this.

I had the same theory. Got an 8in1waiting for testing on the tower boss. I let you know but it doesnt look promising.

What i don't think OP is understanding is that the discharge worked as well as it did because of the savage bonus. It will still hit the boss but the damage output will be considerably less as there is no x1, x2 or any other x bonus. As with most event savages, excluding a couple of the vulture sets the savages become fusion feed because they lost that damage boost they got from the event.

Its no about the boost its about the weaken. If the weaken sticks the next shot will cause double damage. Put him immediatly before brody and boom. Dont know if it will work but thats why we test

They made it so it doesn't stack now anyway so the effectiveness is dropped considerably anyway. But that doesnt mean it cant be helpful to lower level raid teams.

Raid Boss Rs are rarely any good after event (CXB exception)...Definitely never as good as rewards...for obvious reasons

I completely agree nlipper he could be useful to lower tier teams but if they have to pay res for him there are other viable options. And i got ya now on the weaken.

That's why my bionic isn't sitting too far off the squad right now

It's not perfect but it does still make it so you do double damage. And it sticks. So great for cheap damage increase.

Ace, the dmg output of the fam was never in question. I never valued it for the event enhanced stat. The only question was if the the weaken lasts for 4 fams on a single target.

Nlipper, is it confirmed? I've been testing it on the tower boss, but wonky results keep happening. It looks like it has been nerfed.

To clarify: during event the debuff would weaken a boss and stack up to 4 times PER attacker and NOT by hit. The issue is if this has been 'fixed' to not be able to stack on the same target ie boss and if by hit or by attacker.

Also, the bionic never worked the same way as the dual discharge during the raid event. For example: during the raid event, I set up a row of buffed big rigs and keymasters. They did 500k per hit of relentless assault. After a dual discharge proc, they each did 1mil per hit of relentless assault.

It doesn't stack. But it does stick. Multiple fams hit for double(including my incinerates entire proc) after it procs. Its just so slow its last to hit. Hard to get it to proc before my hitters. And without the savage bonus it won't reach astronomical numbers like in the event but doubling damage is enough for me to keep it for my raid team.

Great feedback. It is weird on the autoatk...but I think the question has been answered with our testing.

In raid, with a row of hard hitters, I think it is definitely viable if you don't have a finely tuned squad of 10 top tier mercs.

One thing nice I noticed with Bionic Televangelist and Double Discharge is that the weaken sometimes procs on the first hit, so the subsequent hits in the three or four multi-hit end up hitting for damage calculated with weaken applied (when hitting the same target or single target). So basically you're getting a nice extra damage multiplier on its own AND it's setting up for the next target. Probably won't be spectacular in raid, but can't wait to test some theories.

It'd be pretty cool actually if weaken kept stacking until the next non-weaken hit. Can you imagine a comp with a line of buff + weaken guys and then at the end of the line have someone with extreme damage Smile. That would really be a "BOOM! Headshot!"

Yo mrpug. Here is the main difference. The bionic weakens for 1 more hit. The dual weakens for the entire attack. Example: you weaken the boss for an ultra mutant. For the bionic, the ultra mutant procs hitting six times. Only the first hit of the six hits does double dmg. For the dual, the ultra mutant procs and all six hits are double.

If the weaken skill does get nerfed for the dual, I suspect it will just act like the bionic. Who knows what is up.

Thanks blandquick. That's really wild to me that the devs would come out with two versions of weaken that do different things. I'm going to be leveling a stinger as well (hope it gets on the exchange sooner so I have time to level one before raid) and mess around with them in raid.  

jyzz0nu is a good ally too Smile(dat screen name) . I'm more or less sitting out the PvP event but always good for allying raid/tower if he/she needs an ally.

Word is the shellstinger will not be tradable and with this type of reward being exactly like BB, theres isnt tradable either.

Its the reason the last invite rare is not tradeable

The invite rare won't be back and is non tradeable. I'd be surprised if anyone had 8 but then again its no dick and jane. This game rides on if the evolution shows four chevrons then its a 4-1 merc.

Yea same here, they're prety bad-ass as r1's already. Will probably be very heavy hitters once ope'd. Problem is, I don't even have the crystals to make one ope buzzard, need to get crystals somehow.

Yeah i went through so many it aint even funny. Most of the stuff i get is E4* but still able to add crystals. Yes terday i came upon two big rig v1's at lvl1 and one was crystal'd already and the guy gave to me for 4 ac for the crystal'd one and 2 for the other. And that was right after my blue bot trade. And if the stingers hit the x i'm getting his 3 for 6 ac. Not a bad day lol

Why are it always the same guys who are lucky ? I'm looking for a CXB-2000U for ages and you practically get 2 rigs for free on top of that. Arthainius said he still had a CXB-2000U for sale, has come online multiple times but doesn't reply on my PM's / KIK Messenger so don't know what's going on lol.

I know he gets busy and isn't always able to check pm's. i use my phone and have to switch to classic version to see my pm's and the little red dot isn't always there.

Yeah i would consider myself lucky here but when i first starting playing i gave soooo much away not knowing anything. For example i started during na'lac raid and finished decent enough to get 4 but i knew nothing about buffs and procs and figured base R1 stats were meh so i gave them away for terrible pact E3's and with the canis event i figured yeah another bloater and gave those 5 away for 20 crystals and 5 powershots. I don't even want to get into the rest but yeah thankfully it came back around. And the blue bot i got a pretty nice na'lac for it and it was more about redemption for myself lol

The worst mistake I made was evolving my Canis. I didn't know yet how to get max stats. I don't know how I messed up so badly but it's screwed up, knowing that my Canis now survives a lot, imagine what he could have done if he was OPE .. Sad

I finally got my hands on a nice canis 16k def and as far as evolving goes i didn't realize any of that till i came to this forum which was almost 3 months too late. I was the king of bad evos lol

Yea same here, lol. After a while of bad evolving mercs I realised I could better level them first before evolving lol ! Didn't think those 5% would make such a difference, apparently it does. I started around the Canis event if I remember correctly and I've learned a lot meanwhile. Grew a lot as well, almost lvl 150 now.

Actually the rewards probably won't repeat. Once you get your 5 days, you're done. What will probably happen is you will get two more next event to go with the two you got in this event, then they will distribute 4 of another creature.
