pig  Time once again to come together and give thanks and pig out on SRB turkey pig

State your interest here pilgrims on what youd like to do this raid....

Everyone should be preallied with all team members already  as it helps by having your bosses show up on every FFF members attack list, so please do that now for anyone you may be missing

ALso please be on the lookout for for a team PM for other raid details.   Good luck FFF!

I'd like to join FFF again this event. Going for top 25, but it all depends on if my Niobe-centric squad still works good post-nerf. It's probably still the best non-savage team in the game, but I don't know if it can compete with anyone who throws hundreds of dollars at savages.

I'm strapped for res, but I'll still be going sub 75. So put me in a 25-100 or whatever group if you have a spot.

@Legend, if you niobe squad isn't cutting it and you want to shoot for an L, I could transfer you some mercs in completely legitimate trades.

I really want to go for a lethal this time. Have been saving resources and trying team makeups for some time(despite dakota screwing up my plans again and again)
I have (raid worth mercs)

2 burnfrost
2 bionic televangelist
2 xiaotig
3 giga prim
2 niobe
Ultra mut and prawn
Archangel, lilith, f9 mark4, blue wasp.

So if possible I want to be in the top 25 team this time.

Just a head up to all people shooting for top 25. There is very little likelihood of making it to the top 25 without purchasing savages. If you dont have savages, you best bet there will be over 25 people who will and will be making much more points than you guys. Its just how the game works now. No more winning raid lethals without savages.

Should be interesting to see how things work out this time around. It'd be nice if no one bought savages. If no one bought savages we'd all be playing on a level playing field and shitkoda wouldn't make a dime but I guess that's wishful thinking.

Anyway, Shooting for as high as I can go without buying savages. This "game" may very well be gone in a few months so I see no reason not to go crazy for every event from here on out.

While we're at it, Count me in for top 10/25 for every tower event from here on out.

Having a Raid event with no one buying savages is like having a conventional war in the 21st century without someone using an nuke.

No one wants to buy them, but there are still competitive players in this game, and when they see their points start to wane, they will buy. I guarantee at least top 10 will be all savages, and most of top 25. But we shall see. But these games thrive on human competitive nature trumping common sense (paying $200 for a savage team? serious?).

Come on guys. This is a free game. We enjoy it because people buy savages and resources.

As much as I disagree with the tactical implementation, this is still a game that people worked to make. If you think you can do better, by all means quit playing and prove it.

I am not pointing fingers, just in general overall, we shouldn't act like welfare queens and expect someone else to pay the bills. I thank the developers for this game that people are able to play for free.

Free players SHOULDN'T be able to compete with people who throw hundreds of dollars at savages. I have no problem with that. I've just been burned too many times to do that anymore. I have a feeling we wont see that many savage teams after all the bans and nerfs have sent paying players running for the hills. Just have to wait and see though.

I won't buy merc packs either cus I've also been burned to many times they get expensive and you usually end up with crap, but during raid I'll usually spend just a few bucks cus the savages do so much more damage and can take the beating with their multiplier. Last raid I spent a total of 900 coins and somehow ended up getting 2 corporate enforcers. How I got so lucky is beyond me but I definitely would not use that as an example because that almost never happens.

Cleaned out my ally list and sent invites to everyone on my team.

Man, I have about 5 or 6 innactive allies sitting at the bottom of my list all with golems and hellcats, and I just cant bring myself to un-ally them and have all those sexy mercs fade into oblivion!

Also, love the Thanksgiving puns, everydaynyc lol.

haha I know what that is like too! I finally had to cut all my early allies who had all the awesome starting lethals that I wanted so bad just rotting on their accounts. I sent some of them a pm a week in case they logged on, but never any luck. Oh well, I guess it's too much to hope for that shmuck logs into FF and sees the message and decides he wants to give me his jackson and hellcat haha.

I finally unfriended all those people a couple of months ago cause I was out of space for real players Smile

I've never liked Tigrey, always thought he was a waste of a good spot he only works when he Procs and the merc he's buffing Procs. Where if you have an attack buff the merc dose not have to proc and you still get some benefit from it. Which brings me to the team I've selected for raid, still trying to figure out the order to put them. Here's what I have so far.
Prawn-Mordeo-overgrown-double gun-kinetic
Ultra mutant-niobe-brody-kill clause-na'lac

In this order the only one not getting a chance at a buff is UM and niobe will buff clause and kinetic.

PostSubject: Re: FFF November Raid   November 5th 2013, 10:50 pm

I know I am not part of FFF but I hope you don't mind if I put my 2c in....

First you need to work out how effective each Merc is in using a buff and then you need to work out how much each buffer will buff for.

Avg damage multiplier:
Kinetic: 3.96
Double Gun: 3.5
Prawn: 2.75
Clause: 2.6
na'lac: 2.5
UM: 2.5
Brody: 2.2
Overgrown: 1.6

Buff (making some guesses):
Clause: 10.7K
Mordeo: 9.5K
Double Gun: 7.4K
Overgrown: 6.9K

So I'll give it a shot at rearranging stuff based on that Info:

na'lac-Mordeo-Kinetic-Clause-Prawn
Brody-Niobe-Double Gun-Overgrown-UM

I have just tried to double buff your best attackers with the best buffs and tried to keep your best attackers on the middle row (assuming W formation).

That looks good to and kinetic has a chance to triple buff. Now that would be awesome.

Wouldn't Brody be the "best attacker" due to the savage multiplier?

Agreed with what Dan said. I would also suggest getting rid of mordeo and collosus, you are giving up 8.5k and 14k (x5 in an all out) vs a Niobe or primarch.

@phuquit - the largest damage multiplier benefits the most from a buff. Brody's stats are bhuffed preflight, his attack is still 4x, or 2.2 avg according to Dan.

Yeah - I realised after I posted it. He gets a nice stat boost, but the buffs only add a small fraction to his damage output. Dan wins Smile

If you were wondering how I was coming up with the avg attack multiplier it is simply the following (Assuming only 1 chance attack. For something like tideslayer it would be a bit more complex):

[damage when attack skill does not proc]*[chance of attack skill not proccing] + [damage when attack skill does proc]*[chance of attack skill proccing]

Ya phu might swap um and Brody around because of the 5× multiplier, plus if overgrown dose the attack proc he also will lower defense for Brody.

By any chance Dan did you also figure in that double gun, clause, and kinetic get 2 hits even when they don't proc?

Yes.

For example to work it out for doublegun:

.3 * (6 + 1) + .7 * (1 + 1) = 3.5

So I've been sitting on my ass doing not much the last few days, hoping that raid would start cause I have more than enough time to play and it still hasn't. In two days i'll probably be back to being busy, of course i'll still meet the goals but I could have been doing much better. Meh.
Anyone have any idea when it might be due to start??
