I found a fairly similar 'card' game with full 3D battles, decent events, and over 100k players. It's called Heroes of Dragon Age and it's pretty neat. Check it out if you are looking for something new to play.

Thanks for the idea. Do you have a "goodies" code for any that want to try it out?

No, they don't have invite rewards. In fact, I'm not even sure what good allies are right now. Other than the fact you can test your teams against them any time you want.

Bump. I'm getting into the game more now that I have a few good heroes on my team. The events are much shorter (1 to 3 days depending on the event) and the game is generally more rewarding and cheaper to play ($50 for the latest awesome 'Legendary' character as opposed to the $200+ here!)

You get gems (premium resource for buying packs and also functions as your energy and stam refill mechanism, only 3 gems each refill!) from just competing in events and hitting point tiers, regardless of what place you end up. This means you can still play free and buy good legendaries (eventually). There is no exchange in game though, which is a surprisingly refreshing upside, as the devs can hand out premium resources all day long and give players more to work with and not have to worry about botting/farming.
